2025 EBAL GIRLS’ TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP BULLETIN
Thursday, November 6th – EBAL/NCS Singles Qualifier and EBAL Doubles Tournament: Preliminary Round, 2nd Round, and Quarterfinals at The Club @ Livermore
9:00 a.m. – Coaches Meeting/Players Warm-up (nobody can arrive before 9:00 a.m.)
10:00 a.m. – Tournaments (both draws) Begin
*Each school brings a minimum of 6 players as follows:
-2 Singles players for the EBAL Tournament (NCS Qualifier)
-2 Doubles teams for the EBAL Tournament
-Note: This leaves us with 20 in each draw. The remaining positions in the Singles and Doubles draw of 24 will be selected in order of finish by teams during the EBAL season with 3 spots going to Mountain Division and 1 spot going to Valley Division based on order of finish in final standings (note - extra spots for Valley Division could be modified based upon head-to-head results)
-Preliminary Round: Mini Sets to 4 with tie-breakers at 4-4; 10-point tiebreaker to decide 3rd set if needed
-2nd Round and Quarterfinals: -All matches will be played with No Add Scoring and 10-pt. Tiebreakers for 3rd set if needed
Friday, November 7th - EBAL/NCS Singles Qualifier and EBAL Doubles Tournament: Semifinals and Finals. NCS Doubles Qualifier Preliminary Round at The Club @ Livermore
10:00 a.m. – Coaches Meeting/Players Warm-up
12:00 p.m. – EBAL/NCS Qualifier Singles and EBAL Doubles Tournament Semi Finals; NCS Doubles Qualifier Preliminary Rounds
*NCS Doubles Qualifying Tournament Preliminary Rounds will feature 1 Doubles Pair from the 4 bottom finishers in EBAL standings without players remaining in Singles/Doubles Semifinals seeded 7-10)
2:30 p.m. (approx. )- NCS Singles and EBAL Doubles Tournament Finals (will take place no fewer than 30 minutes and no longer than 60 minutes following the conclusion of the Semifinal
- Patches awarded to top 4 Singles players and top 4 Doubles teams
--All matches will be played with No Add Scoring and 10-pt. Tiebreakers for 3rd set
Saturday, November 8th (NCS Doubles Qualifier Tournament) at San Ramon Valley High School
8:30 a.m. – Players Warm-up
9:00 a.m. Quarterfinals and Semifinals Begin
-Top 6 schools from EBAL regular season will enter 1 Doubles Pair to be seeded with the 2 Doubles teams that advanced out of Friday’s Preliminary Round based on EBAL standings.
-All matches will be played with No Add Scoring and 10-pt. Tiebreakers for 3rd sets
Monday, November 10th (NCS Doubles Qualifying Final Round) at San Ramon Valley High School
11:00 a.m. – Players Warm-up
12:00 p.m. – Final Round - NCS Doubles Qualifying Tournament
-Winner of the NCS Doubles Qualifying Tournament will play the winner of the EBAL Doubles Tournament to determine which team will represent the EBAL at NCS
-Final match will take place no fewer than 30 minutes and no longer than 60 minutes following the conclusion of the NCS Doubles Qualifying Tournament
2:30 p.m. (approx.) - NCS Doubles Qualifying Finals
General Notes:
-The cost to the EBAL for renting the Club at Livermore is $750. Each team is responsible for bringing cans of Penn Heavy Duty Tennis Balls. All coaches and players should be prepared to serve as line judges. USTA, EBAL, NCS, and CIF rules and bylaws apply.
